Community

Association; commonality; society; affiliation; sisterhood; inclusion.

We are human beings that all desire to have a sense of belonging.  We are stronger, healthier, and happier when we feel connected to and valued by each other.  We all benefit by the bond of community.

Building community and fostering support within those groups to help each member grow into their best is what keeps me coming back for more!  Here are the communities that I help foster today:

NAWBO Phoenix

The Phoenix chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners is one of the most relevant, forward focused, member supportive communities that I have had the honor to serve in.  I have been on the board of directors for the past five years and have the privilege of serving as the President during the 2012/2013 board year. The friendships and professional connections that have resulted from being part of this community have been absolutely priceless to me. The Phoenix chapter is also collaborating with the Tucson and Sedona chapters – so this amazing community continues to grow and flourish! http://www.nawbophx.org .  This last year I stepped up another level and got involved with the National Board of NAWBO.  I am so proud to be a part of this women’s business movement and hope you will check the out too! http://www.nawbo.org

The Women’s Enterprise Foundation

The Women’s Enterprise Foundation is non-profit group of women whose focus is the provide scholarships and grants to women business owners to help them succeed. This is a heart-centered group striving to help women-owned businesses grow and succeed in Phoenix – and it’s a fun group too!  I served on their board of directors two years ago and continue to support their efforts today.
